Children's Programming Winter/Spring 2025 Preschool Dance (Age 3-6) Cost: $85 Thursdays 5:45-6:15 p.m--- 11 spots Jack Mackenzie Gym Jan. 9-Mar. 27 No class Jan. 30, Feb. 20 These classes introduce rhythm, coordination, and dance to children. They are exciting classes that sample the fundamentals of dance, acrobatics, and baton twirling. Requirements: Dance bodysuit and tights OR leggings and a tight-fitting t-shirt. Boys can wear shorts and a fitted t-shirt. Long hair should be pulled back neatly in a ponytail. Dance slippers or bare feet allowed for dance. Running shoes are to be worn for baton twirling.

Babysitting Basics Cost: $70 Thursday, February 20 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. 15 spots AECC Multipurpose Room This course is designed for the 11–16-year-old interested in taking responsibility for younger children. Content in the 6.5-hour class includes safety practices, childcare basics, introductory first aid and activities to try. Hands-on participation and skill development are the focus. Home Alone Cost: $50 Friday, February 21 from 9:30 a.m.-noon - Class limit 15 Friday, Febraury 21 from 1:30-4 p.m. – Class limit 15 AECC Multipurpose Room This course is aimed at 10–14-year-olds who are at home for short periods of time without adult supervision. The course is 2.5 hours long with the objective to provide children with the skills to increase their personal safety while alone at home. My EQ: Emotional Intelligence class Cost $90.00 Class limit 15 Thursday - 6:30-7:30 pm. 9 sessions Jan. 9 – Mar. 13 No class Feb. 20 AECC This is an 8-week class designed for children between ages 8 - 12, focusing on self-awareness, social skills, self-regulation, empathy, and motivation. Our structured activities will encompass painting, physical activities, and mindful games. We will discuss a variety of topics within emotional intelligence to deepen our shared understanding.
