Fitness Programs 

The Winter 2026 Session will run from Monday January 5th to Friday May 15th. There will be no fitness classes February 14 - 20 inclusive and April 3 - 9 inclusive. No Volleyball, Basketball, or Pickleball February 14-22 and April 3-12 inclusive. Registration will be as follows:

Early registration for participants in Fall session starts on December 7 @ 9:00 am 
Regular program registration for Arcola East residents will begin online at 9 a.m. on December 14 until December 27 @ 6:00 pm. 
City-wide registration begins on December 28 at 9 a.m. Classes begin January 5, 2026.

Power Walk/Run

Start your weekend with a BANG! This high energy class alternates running/walking with strength training that will provide a full body workout incorporating all major muscle groups. Improve your balance, shape, and strength using weights, stability balls, bosu balls, and bands. This class is suitable for all levels.

Total Body Sculpt is a muscle-toning class. We focus on improving core strength, increasing flexibility, and burning calories by guiding you through a range of traditional and non-traditional weight training exercises. This sculpting class uses body weight, exercise bands, or dumbbells, or a combination of equipment to tighten and tone all areas. A challenging yet easy to follow workout that is suitable for all ages.

Evening Fitness Walk

Rev up your Core with Cardio intervals. Exercises to enhance your core's strength and stability using body weight, stability ball, weights and stretches. This class is what you need to achieve your core goals.

A daytime fitness class to build muscular strength, improve cardiovascular health and mobility to help you move and play with ease. We will lift weights and perform functional movements to build strength, agility, power and improve balance and flexibility. This class is appropriate for all abilities; progressions and regressions will be provided to find the right level of challenge for all participants. 

Stretch and Mobility

This gentle class is perfect for those interested in improving range of motion, mobility, and core strength. A variety of movements, props and styles will be utilized to keep both your body and mind engaged. The first half of the class we focus on movement and strength and in the second half of the class we settle into longer held stretches to help us relax and improve the range of motion of our joints. Inspiration for this class is provided by traditional fitness movements and stretches, Pilates, and Yoga. Participants should be able to get up and down off the floor and lay comfortably on their backs to fully benefit from this class.

Mat Pilates

Mat Pilates is a mind, body, and spirit practice that can benefit coordination and balance, improve posture, improve concentration and focus, increase body awareness and flexibility, help with stress management and injury prevention. Practicing Mat Pilates also can help to build a strong, balanced body with focus on core areas. Equipment that is used in this practice may include light weights, bender balls, blocks and bands. Mat Pilates is a great choice for all levels of fitness. You will need to bring a mat, a water bottle and a small hand towel that can be rolled when needed.

Parent and Child Zumba
Thursday 6:00-7:00 pm
Cost $180.00 for 1 parent and 1 child. $30 for each additional child. Class limit 12 parent/child groups.

A Latin inspired dance fitness for parents and children! You do not need to know how to dance to do Zumba. It is all about fun, laughter, and feeling great! Moves are basic and easy to learn. Come have a dance party.

Butts & Guts

A fun class dedicated to toning of your abs and glutes with targeted movements and cardio. Class will focus on core strengthening to build muscle tone, in addition will target your quads, hamstrings, and lower back for functional movements, with various equipment.

YOGA - Yin Yoga

 A relaxing combination of restorative, and yin yoga. This class is perfect to calm the nervous system, to let go of daily life and find some stillness with in. 

YOGA – Foundational Yoga

This class focuses on improving balance, flexibility and strength through a series of postures. Andi will provide detailed instruction on basic poses and alignment to maximize benefits and prevent injury. Modifications and variations will be provided accommodate different body types and skills levels from beginner to advanced. Not a flow class. 

YOGA - Vinyasa/Flow Multi-Level

Vinyasa Flow is connecting breath with movement to focus the mind and reduce stress in the body. This class is good for students with yoga experience or a great addition to compliment any exercise routine.

Yoga with more variety, including strength training, Pilates and flow. Suitable for anyone with some yoga experience or fitness background. Cecilia will give lots of options for a variety of levels and participation. Flows will include a variety of styles with equipment including strength bands, balls, hand weights or props.
