Dear parents, The AECA Board has made the difficult decision to close the AECA Preschool for the 2020-2021 school year. This decision was not made lightly but is a reflection of the COVID-19 pandemic and the restrictions the pre-school would have faced when opening and operating in the fall.
We hope to reopen our doors in the fall of 2021. Please watch this website for registration details. Anyone who was already registered for the 2020-2021 year will receive a full refund.
Anyone with questions is invited to please email Preschool Director Chantel De la Sablonniere at firstname.lastname@example.org

Good Neighbour Day & AECA Birthday Bash Postponed
Hey neighbours, Because the entire world is dealing with a pandemic, and we're all required to stay at least two metres from each other (a rule we completely endorse and encourage for all! Social distancing is key!), we've made the difficult decision to postpone our upcoming events. Please consider Good Neighbour Day (May 30) and the AECA Birthday Bash (June 14) to be postponed until spring/summer2021. Just think of how great it will all be to get together again as a large group once it's the responsible thing to do. Stay safe out there east enders, and keep washing your hands.

AECA COVID-19 Response
Following the direction of the City of Regina, all AECA programs have been put on hold and our centre is closed for the foreseeable future. Access to the indoor walking track is also suspended.
Our priority is keeping our community safe and happy, and we hope this effort makes a difference the COVID-19 pandemic. Stay well, East Enders!

POSTPONED: Good Neighbour Day
Arcola East Community Association is hosting Good Neighbour Day on Saturday, May 30, 2020. We are building community and we want you to be part of it. Here are some ways to participate:
Invite a neighbour to join you for coffee or a walk. Take your kids to the playground with another family.
Host a bonfire, potluck meal or coffee party and invite several neighbours from surrounding homes. It doesn’t have to be elaborate- “BYO coffee and your lawn chair to my place.”
Introduce yourself to the family down the street that moved in recently (or many months ago!)
Exchange contact information with one or several of your neighbours in case of emergency.
Express gratitude to a neighbour that helped you in the past. A card, a handshake or a kind word means much in today’s online world.
Host a garage sale together or invite your neighbour along to check out some of the sales in the area. (See below)
Thinking of a shared fencing or landscape project this summer? This might be the weekend to start planning or building.
Knowing your neighbours builds safety on our streets. Looking out for one another is helpful. Our lives are richer with friends nearby. Join us on Saturday, May 30, 2020 and build community.
