The Winter 2026 Session will run from Monday January 5th to Friday May 15th. There will be no fitness classes February 14 - 20 inclusive and April 3 - 9 inclusive.No Volleyball, Basketball and Pickleball February 14-22 and Apr 3 -12 inclusive. Registration will be as follows: Early registration for participants in Fall session starts on December 7 @ 9:00 am AECA residents - December 14 @ 9:00 am, City wide registration - December 28 @ 9:00 am
Basketball Fun play with no instruction. No team registration permitted. Volleyball Fun play with no instruction, non-competitive / recreational volleyball for 18 years and over. Must be able to pass, set and hit (3 hits concept). Pickleball Fun play with no instruction, noncompetitive/recreational pickleball for 18 years and over. Participants should be familiar with the game. This year the AECA offers three different levels of play
1. Beginner Level -Know where to stand at the beginning of each point. -Usually get serves “in.” -Usually let the return serve bounce. -Understanding keeping score. -Often keep ball in play, know what a dink shot is.

2. Intermediate Level -Understand basic rules. -Work on getting serves and return of serves deeper. -Work on getting dinks shallower / lower. -Capable of hitting a few dinks in a row. -Usually hit backhand shots when needed. -Try to add more power and/ or softness to game.

3. Advanced Level -Familiar with most of the rules (including net rules, net post issues, NVZ, etc.) - Serves and returns are almost always deep. - to hit a 3rd shot drop shot. -Try to be strategic about how and where to hit the ball. -Have a wide variety of shots. -Work actively with a partner to win the point.
